"Are we seriously marching into the capital empty-handed?" Gladio complained, as they started forward, over wreckage and through a maze of overturned train cars, carefully helping Ignis over the obstacles and failing to keep his annoyance at their current situation tampered down.
"And with no assurances," Ignis responded with a sigh, "the Crystal can beat back the daemon hordes."
"Guess we'll find out the hard way," Gladio sighed, shaking his head. "No turning back now, though, right?"
( Hardly the grand and glorious march in to take back the Crystal any of them would have imagined.... )
They both seemed to take a moment to let that settled before Gladio shook his head and began to move again, away from the monitors and consoles. "Let's move," he said. "If that's what he did to Ravus, there's no telling what he'll do to Noct. But it does look like Ardyn's bought himself some time."
"Then we've none to waste," Ignis noted. "We need to find Noct before he does."
